KP. GILLO is born in Paris which frequented the painter’s of the place Du Tertre of Montmartre, Saint Germain de Prés and where he executed portraits and drawings of artistic nudes for tourists to pay its studies of engineer. He obtains a diploma by the École Centrale de Paris in 1973 while frequenting free painters academies of Montparnasse. He begins to expose and to realize commands for the Foundations of the companies in which he is manager of the Industrial Design Pole. K.P. GILLO is also a holder of industrial DESIGN mater grade from the DAC of Vevey. KP.G is the creator of several companies of which a gallery of art coupled with an artistic café in a 12nd century site in Spanish Catalonia. K.P. GILLO is also a photographer, a writer and council in communication. Influenced of the impressionistic theories on the light and the color, their preference for the scenes of soft nudes, fort of a powerful line, KP. GILLO treats all the themes of artistic nude by drawing on his own experience: journeys in distant countries, in particular Amazonia, artistic circles, scenes of private lives, cabaret shows, circus artists, exotic and oriental’s subjects, places of elegance, places of pleasures, private society parties, intimate atmospheres, etc.KPG does not stop renewing its art using a mixed technique, by privileging rare powder material, pastels, with which he sometimes mixed with oils. Only interested in a punctual way in the landscape, the paintings of this period testify of a very modern work based on expressiveness of the color and the line. Working more and more by series, he declines familiar themes.Karl Philip GILLO is always fascinated by the subtlety and the sensuality of a posture, of a skin texture, a so particular state of a model at a selected moment, and he knows how to create the ideal atmosphere so that the magic can come true.

GILLO est un parisien de Ménilmontant qui a beaucoup fréquenté Montmartre, Saint Germain de Prés et la place Du Tertre où il exécutait des portraits et des dessins de nus artistiques pour payer ses études d'ingénieur. Il obtient sort diplômé de l'Ecole Centrale en 1973 tout en fréquentant les académies libres de Montparnasse . Il commence à exposer et à réaliser des commandes pour les Fondations des entreprises dans lesquelles il est reponsable du Pôle Design Industriel. K.P. GILLO est également titulaire d'un Mastaire de DESIGN industriel de Vevey. KP.G est le créateur de plusieurs entreprises dont une gallerie d'art couplée à un café artistique dans un site du XIIè siècle en Catalogne Espagnole. K.P. GILLO est également photographe, écrivain et conseil en communication.

Imprégné des théories impressionnistes sur la lumière et la couleur, de leur prédilection pour les scènes de nus, fort d’un trait puissant, KP. GILLO traite tous les thèmes de nu artistique en puisant sur sa propre expérience: voyages dans des pays lointains, notamment l’'Amazonie, milieux artistiques, scènes de vies, spectacles de cabaret, artistes de cirques, sujets exotiques et orientalistes, lieux d’élégance, lieux de plaisirs, soirées mondaines privées, ambiances intimes, etc .KPG ne cesse de renouveler son art utilisant une technique mixte, en privilégiant les terres rares, le pastel, auquel il mêle parfois l'aquarelle, la gouache, la peinture à l’huile. Les tableaux de cette période témoignent d’un travail très moderne sur l'’expressivité de la couleur et de la ligne. Travaillant de plus en plus par séries, il décline des thèmes familiers. Ne s'’intéressant que de manière ponctuelle au paysage, Karl Philip GILLO est toujours fasciné par la subtilité et la sensualité d'une posture, d'un grain de peau , d'un état d'être particulier d'un modèle et il sait créer l'ambiance idéales pour que la magie puisse s'accomplir.Par l'usage de ces couleurs audacieuses qui sont pourtant indissociable d’une affirmation à ma manière d' Edgar Degas et par la puissance expressive de la ligne, KPG ne néglige en effet jamais la structure formelle.Pour mettre en place ses compositions, il a parfois recours à un dessin sous-jacent au fusain et il utilise régulièrement des dessins préparatoires.
